Independent · not SAM.gov
SAM.gov costs zero. That is the whole name.
Updated September 2026

ZeroGov is the receipt. The government already printed $0.00 on the form. This page is the one sentence paid ads skip.
What is free
Creating an entity record, receiving a Unique Entity ID, receiving a CAGE code for a US entity, completing representations and certifications, and renewing that record each year are all done on sam.gov at no charge. That is not a promotion. It is how the system is built.
Login.gov, which you need to sign in, is also a free government sign-in service. See Login.gov for SAM.gov.
What people still pay for
Search ads and “registration agents” sell a walkthrough. They type into the same screens you can type into. They cannot make IRS name validation finish faster. If you want paid help, hire an accountant you already trust for a broader job — not a site whose only product is a free form.
Use the free checklist if the problem is readiness, not companionship.
What a fee letter actually is
Mail that demands an “activation” or “renewal” fee for a UEI or CAGE code is not SAM.gov. The scam patterns are short: urgency, a payment link, a number that is not sam.gov.
We are not the government
This site is independent. We do not take your EIN. We do not file for you. We write down the free process because the ranking pages often charge for it. Confirm anything that affects a live award on sam.gov.
